Larry Ambrose, new Southwest Improvement Council (SWIC) Director, provided some information on the history and current operations of SWIC including:
Meals provided to seniors daily and youth in the summer
Gym and computer center open to youth
Housing Development Corporation offering 19 units of affordable housing, with future plans for 1 acre of land
Loan Funds/Loan Guarantee programs
Work with area business districts to support local business retention
Aubry Gowdy, Brookdale Senior Living (also a Delegate meeting location host), discussed their partnership with SWIC in supporting area seniors.
INC Delegate Meeting Notes June 9, 2018
Their office conducted an online voluntary survey regarding the proposed alcohol policy changes that would go into effect for the year 2019 as a trial period. The report will be presented to the public on June 10.
The policy and FAQ are on denvergov.org/alcoholpolicy.
The new policy would allow special event permits at all parks for consumption of beer, wine and alcohol.

– Division of Insurance (DOI) regulates the insurance industry in Colorado and assists consumers by answering questions, investigating complaints, educating about insurance. DOI also monitors insurance companies and agents operating in Colorado.
INC PARC RESOLUTION FOR MAY DELEGATE MEETING
INC PARC will introduce a resolution concerning Park Hill Golf Course at the May 2018 meeting. The resolution calls upon the public officials of the City and County of Denver to take all actions necessary to preserve the perpetual Park Hill Gold Course (PHGC) land open space conservation easement protections that the City acquired in 1997 from Clayton for $2 million
