The October INC-ZAP meeting featured the following topics: Group Living Advisory Committee update, General Development Plans modification working group status, CPD presentation on 41st & Fox Street area maximum parking requirements, marijuana social use license progress, Downtown Area Plan amendment to create new D-CPV zone district, with incentive height limits for developers who build affordable housing, and the committee approved making a request to the mayor to extend the deadline for citizen and RNO comments on the Denver Comprehensive Plan 2040 and Denveright draft documents to February 18, 2019

INC ZONING AND PLANNING COMMITTEE MINUTES – OCTOBER 28, 2017

Bridget Walsh and Tom Morris spoke about the issue of major land use decisions within parks being removed in the 2010 Zoning Code from the elected City Council and put in the hands of the Executive Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, appointed by the Mayor. After discussion, the Committee approved the following motion by a vote of 17 in favor, 1 opposed and 5 abstentions:

UPDATE PARK HILL GOLF COURSE AND RESOLUTION

Brad Cameron updated the complex Park Hill Golf Course situation, gave a history of the conservation easement signed by Mayor Webb and now being discounted. The proposed contract between Clayton College and the City would allow for a great deal of development in the park space

General Election Ballots To Be Mailed in October

Ballots for the General Election are scheduled to be mailed the third week in October, and are due by Tuesday, November 8th. People can register and vote on the same day at Voter Service and Polling Centers as late as November 8th. The ballot is long. Among the many elected offices, there are 15 questions Denver voters will be asked to decide.
